The Saga of inscape

I think my biggest announcement of the day is announcing that inscape--the one I've been working on forever--is finished. Yes, it only took a year, but now it's done. It wasn't supposed to take that long.

I started the layouts in January--it was supposed to print in May as the fall 2005/winter 2006 issue. However, it wasn't to be. We ran into problems with the press, and then we had problems with it being summertime and everyone being gone so we couldn't get bios from authors, and then we ran into problems with fonts not coming up correctly on the proofs, and then we had problems with one of our poems and had to yank it and find something else to replace it with, and then we had to find one or two more pieces of artwork to fill white space, and then the press got confused which version we were trying to print since by then there were two issues of inscape being printed (the fall semester 2006 issue caught up with us), and then we hit finals/Christmas break, and after the longest sentence and story ever, we are now in January 2007 and as of this morning inscape is good to go for printing. And we still beat fall semester's issue.

I anticipate a release party at the end of the month, where I will be overjoyed with happiness to hold a printed, bound copy in my cute little hands. As long as that en dash shows up on page 78 of the proof, that is...
