Writers' Strike

I found a blog by some of the captains of the strike that talk about what is going on. According to the site, negotiations are rescheduled for 26 November.

Everyone wants to be valued in their profession, but writers--in any profession--tend to be viewed as members of "production" and therefore not as valuable. (Believe me, I've studied this topic for an entire semester now.) I've I think it's amazing that the writers tend to be the least respected of those in the Hollywood world since they're the one who fuel the great movies and tv shows that we love. Maybe producers and directors should rethink giving actors millions of dollars if writers can't even make a few thousand.
