This morning Mother Nature decided to grace us with her presence in the form of lovely chunky flakes of snow. The flakes have begun to fall at a faster rate now, and they seem to be coming out of Provo Canyon. Brr. Glad I’m inside right now. I don’t expect the snow to keep up all day and make the roads a war zone like last week when it snowed…at least I hope it doesn’t.
My final exam for bookbinding is tonight. I still have to glue in the text block for my paper-case binding (yeah I played last night instead of finishing my homework) but it won’t take me very long, and my final isn’t until 8 pm. So I have some time. I might just leave work early anyway and use my final exam as an excuse. :)
By the way, future reference for anyone who takes bookbinding: I learned the importance of practicing the paper-case binding on a piece of paper other than the Cave paper that we used for this type of binding. Cave paper is very expensive, so it is better to learn how to fold all the edges and make the cuts on a heavier, cheaper piece of paper rather than a piece of Cave paper that cost me $17. I totally butchered my practice paper the other night and was very happy that it wasn’t the real thing. Whew!
