So my GRE study book has the following analogy question:
MOCK : IMITATE
(A) satirize : charm
(B) condense : summarize
(C) placate : assuage
(D) adapt : duplicate
(E) taunt : challenge
At first I thought, "Well to mock is to imitate someone, so answer E or B would be the best." But, if you think about the opposite way to read it, we imitate someone to mock them. Therefore, we challenge someone to taunt them. However, we do not summarize someone to condense them.
Ha ha.
