I have a lot of papers that I keep in some shoeboxes because they're a nice size and I like reusing boxes. Unfortunately, they're not terribly aesthetic looking on display. So I was thinking, what if I covered them with bookcloth like this?
My only concern is that the shoeboxes have kind of a shiny surface, so I'm not sure that something like PVA would stick very well to it. What do you think?

Hmm. Well, the back of the book cloth is paper, so it would stick to PVA just fine, but as for the actual box, perhaps you could do a test run with PVA--just get some regular paper and stick it to the box and see if it adheres well. If it does, the book cloth should probably work.
Good call. I'll have to rustle up some PVA.
